Tonka Teacher Talks: A Best Practice Showcase of 1:1 Grade 5-12 iPad Classrooms

Last time at EdTechTeacher, this session was standing room only! Back by popular demand, it will feature Minnetonka, Minnesota, 1:1 iPad teachers' examples of iPad integration in a variety of elementary, middle & high school curricular areas. Learn how Minnetonka has developed a Framework for Teaching & Learning beyond SAMR ladders & pools that includes eight dimensions to create more meaningful, deeper, and engaging learning experiences for students.

Minnetonka is a suburban school district near Minneapolis in the sixth year of a 1:1 iPad program. All 6,250 students in grades 5-12 are issued an iPad. The program uses digital curriculum materials, student collaboration tools, and individualized instruction in all subject areas with the goal of enhancing student learning.

Patricia Price

Patricia Price, M.A.Ed., has been with the Minnetonka Public School district since 2011. She has taught General and Honors Physical Science, as well as, General and AP Chemistry. Patricia developed and teaches a Pre-AP Chemistry course for Minnetonka's Tonka Online program. In addition to teaching AP Chemistry, Patricia is currently a Technology Integration Coach at Minnetonka High School.
